The IMB Team are delighted that Adam Karayiannis from our Finance division has been named the 2024 COBA Bridges Emerging Leader at the annual Customer Owned Banking Association (COBA) Convention in Adelaide on Monday.

Adam received the award for demonstrating leadership capability across a variety of areas, both inside and outside of IMB, and has worked closely with senior management to support IMB’s strategies, leading to successful outcomes.

Last Sunday, IMB Bank Community Foundation chair Jann Gardner and members of our team were delighted to share a heartwarming day with Wanda SLSC to present their Side-by-Side Vehicle (SSV) and witness the launch of their new surf boat, the Les Townsend. The boat is named after Wanda club legend Leslie Townsend – coach, mentor, sweep of Wanda’s boat crews, and Wanda Life Member.
Purchased with the help of an IMB Bank Community Foundation grant, the SSV will help the 328 Wanda SLSC volunteers respond quickly to emergencies both inside and outside the patrolled areas at Wanda Beach. It will be used for transporting patients, medical supplies, and essential lifesaving equipment, allowing the club to launch their boats faster, improve patrols, enhance community safety, and save lives.
