IMB Bank | Stuart Park All Ages All Abilities Playground

Proud to support the All Abilities Playground

Yesterday was a great day for people of all abilities (and all ages) in the Illawarra, with the ribbon cut for the Stuart Park All Ages All Abilities Playground.

Providing opportunities to enjoy a range of play options for children, young people and adults with disability, the All Abilities Playground features custom sized and specifically featured equipment for adults and those in wheelchairs.

The Disability Trust and community-driven initiative was funded by the Australian Government, NSW Government, Wollongong City Council and a range of local business institutions, including an IMBBankCommunityFoundation in 2021.

IMB pleased to support Declaration of Climate Action

The Declaration of Climate Action is a great initiative, and one IMB Bank is very pleased to support. Australians are witnessing first-hand the often-devastating impacts of climate change on their homes, their lives, and their livelihoods. The Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals (BCCM) Declaration recognises that co-ops and mutuals can work together for collective action on climate change because we are all motivated by improving the livelihoods of our members and the communities in which we operate.

IMB Bank Community Foundation Recipients

The National Gallery of Australia hosted our presentation for the #IMBBankCommunityFoundation ACT/Southern NSW grant recipients on Monday, November 13th.

In keeping with the Foundation’s grassroots focus, the recipients in attendance represented a wide variety of projects, each addressing local community needs: from a teen driver safety program, to a native animal sanctuary, to men’s sheds, the RFS, plastic recycling, and more.

Special thanks to Kristine Hewett, whose keynote speech gave real insight to the work of Adamas Nexus Registered Charity, a Canberra-based volunteer support group which helps survivors of domestic, partner and sexual abuse recover, rebuild and re-engage.

Thank you to the entrepreneurs and representatives from the local business community who joined us for an evening of networking and an engaging discussion on the ESG landscape by Patrick Gallagher. The evening was an excellent exchange of ideas and possibilities.

Looking forward to the next one.
